Gluttony is transformed into Rem; Gluttony has the power to transform into the people she completely devours. This happens after Gluttony devours Subaru's memories and discovers the power of return through death, and she wants to steal this power. To do so, she needs to completely devour Subaru, but she only devoured the memories after he went to this world, and her power is limited to devouring the memories of the same person only once. Now she's trying to make Subaru believe that he and the other self who lost his memories are completely different people. (The things that happened in episode 9, like Meili's death, were actually Gluttony trying to make Subaru believe that the Subaru before losing his memories was a bad person and completely different from him.)
