Could be nickel! I’m convinced mine is because I’m allergic to nickel and there are high nickel foods and skincare products (for example oat). Vitamin a also triggers it in my opinion - every retinol triggers mine

Hey love, I know you are all about holistic health - which I am too - but I have been using a new topical retinoid called Aklief (similar to tretinoin but much more advanced and targets acne more specifically with less irritation). I’ve always had acne and I’m a 36 year female. No matter how much I healed my hormones and my gut, I still suffered from acne and perioral dermatitis. Since using Aklief for 8 weeks now, my skin is completely clear. It also has anti aging properties so I see it as a win win!

I know everyone is different, but my friend’s periorial dermatitis started when she started using ‘all natural’ makeup / face wash brand! Something to look into I’m not sure if you changed anything of the sort in the last year 🫶

We don’t know! It’s not topical, but caused by internal inflammation. There is likely no product you can cut out to make it go away, you need oral medication

Another trigger I’ve heard as a pharmacist is steroids. Even if you’re using a nasal spray for allergies. Just another idea to look into.
