My cat loves it when we have visitors. When the doorbell rings, she is already waiting by the door and wants nothing more than to be petted and seeks attention.

I'll go and find her to pet her when she is hiding from guests. she usually starts purring immediately if its me. some people that come over she will come out to greet, but others she hides from.

Mine takes about a day to decompress when his environment changes, especially when we take him with us on vacation. It’s so important for them to feel safe when you give them their space.

My cat is afraid of anyone other than my husband and I. He was a street cat and the "smallest" amongst his brothers and sisters and maybe got bullied by people as well so now he's just very shy/scared. When we have guests he usually retreat under the bed and we have to show him around when they leave so he can see that they left

neither one of my cats hiding matter of fact they're overseeing what my cleaning people are doing all the time they climb up on their ladders and sit there watching them when they come by they reach out and try to grab them funny to watch
