My life has been a lie 😂 Turtles have a reputation for being slow, but many species are actually surprisingly fast, especially in water, turtles are powerful swimmers that can reach speeds of around 20 mph (32 km/h) in short bursts, using their strong flippers to move efficiently through the ocean. Even land turtles and tortoises, while slower overall, can move much quicker than people expect when motivated by food, danger, or mating behaviour. Their “slow” image mostly comes from how they normally conserve energy. Turtles are built for endurance and efficiency rather than constant speed, so they tend to move calmly unless they need to react quickly. Under the right conditions, though, they’re far from as sluggish as the stereotype suggests. 🎥: ViralHog #animals #ladbible #turtle
