They need to treat sports gambling like liquor. Get the commercials off TV. Get the gambling infomercials off TV. They’re on 24 / 7.

I had a law professor who was at the forefront of anti-tobacco litigation in the 90s. His current cause is trying to do something similar with sports gambling.

I was just on vaca at an all inclusive and there were so many men just sitting at the sports bar with their betting apps open going crazy (not in a good way) like dude you are in PARADISE, you could be out in the Caribbean ocean snorkeling but instead you’re in a dark bar yelling at a tv to people who can’t hear you….please get help!

Last bet was in 2019. Been going to GA meetings once a month ever since. I have a house, family, and an amazing job now. It’s crazy what I used to think was important or how much smarter I thought I was. It’s sickening to see how advertised it is everywhere you turn.

It’s an epidemic, especially on college campuses. There are plenty of facilities for alcohol and substance abuse, yet there are very few gambling rehab facilities
