this is what a mayor should be. politicians should not feel untouchable and should not act as if they’re above us. they are literally public servants. they work for us. we are the ones who should feel like their bosses and not the other way around. Mamdani is one of the only politicians I’ve seen who actually does all of it. Dudes in the subway, walking home from work. people waving to him on the streets like “Yo Mayor!” and he smiles and waves back. NOW THATS A FREAKING MAYOR!!!!!
