amber signals are better because vehicles can both brake and indicate a turn at the same time. two separate signals for two separate actions makes things clear to other drivers, using one signal for both functions can create ambiguity.

i will die on the hill of red turn signals are less safe. especially if the turn signal light is the same as the brake light. Separate amber turn signals are more contrasting and FAR easier and quicker for your brain to process what theyre doing

Also, all cars should have side turn signal repeaters. With today’s cars having A-pillars than can block an entire planet. Those repeaters can be a god sent.

I swapped both my vehichles to ones with yellow/amber. i dont like the running light, brake, and blinker to all be red. especially at train tracks with a million different solid and blinking red lights.
