I remember the first time I matched energy with one of my family members who had just greeted me in the morning with a really nasty attitude and they asked me why I was being so mean and went back into their room to cry. I found myself thinking “Oh so I wasn’t overreacting and too emotional, thats just a normal response to someone being shitty to you?” Just that one interaction as proof that I wasn’t the problem made me feel so healed.
