This is one opinion. Another (stronger) is he must keep her to his standard. Food like his food , clothes like his clothes, etc. Maid is not obligatory. Scholars do recommend you marry someone of a similar background and lifestyle for compatibility, but you can't marry a middle class man and expect an upper class lifestyle.
