@megangallant.realtor: Starting a real estate business isn’t easy, but if you focus on doing the right things you can speed things up! In 2023 I was a newly licensed Realtor with 0 clients. In 2026 I’m a top producing Realtor who’s not guessing where there next deal is coming from. The best piece of advice I can give someone who is in the building phase of their business is to focus on money making activities. This is what I did starting out (and still do today) to fill my database & pipeline! First, I filmed home tours before I even had my own listings. I would ask colleagues if I could create content at their listings. It was free marketing for them, visibility for me. It worked & I still do this often to stay top of mind! Second, I built an email list around local Fredericton events. Stuff people actually wanted to read. I literally got a call this week from someone who subscribed two years ago, she called me to list her home. The long game is real. Third, I followed up with people already in my pipeline. People who had asked about a home valuation months ago. People who went quiet after inquiring about a property. The business is already there, most realtors just never go back for it. And fourth, I documented everything on social and always gave people a next step. Going to a showing, I shared it. Working on home value reports, I invited people to request one.
