Love this video but I think the line “settler colonialism is not an event but a structure” is from Patrick Wolfe and Tuck and Yang are just quoting it. Their paper is really good though!

as someone born and raised in a deeply colonized country, i always say that colonization echoes through eternity. it has shaped our ancestors and it was passed onto us, in such a normalized way that people don’t really understand the impact it had and still has on every part of our culture and society
