my parents literally say nothing about my grades unless im practically failing so i pray that i will never struggle because i have absolutely no motivation for school. I took AP chem last year and passed but i think i studied for like 6 hours max the whole year outside of required work. If i ever take a class too hard for me i think ill just fall apart. its too late for me now

the sweet spot is when they put academic pressure on you up until like 7th grade to the point where it builds up good habits and then eventually it starts being more intrinsic because you’re so used to the routine of doing good
