Then I got a phone call that required me to become a functioning member of society again, and frankly, I wasn’t emotionally prepared for that. So yes, I threw on my robe, grabbed my keys, and accepted my fate as a parent. But somewhere between my robe-clad adventure and singing my little heart out in the car, the sky decided to show off.
