I learned so many things from my relationship with Sam. Going back to sit with my younger self has been one of the most healing experiences. I hope that somebody can learn from this old relationship and find the courage to leave if they are in a situation that is similar.

It’s so important to go back and sit with your younger self to work out things that you may not have worked out now as an adult. When I was younger, I got into a relationship that changed my entire brain on how I view relationships. I’m so grateful for that relationship, because it has taught me so much, and has now given me an opportunity to talk to young women about relationships like that one.

as a clinical psychology student, this is called imagery rehearsal therapy!! and it’s highly effective for PTSD, trauma, nightmares, anxiety and specific phobias! Good on your therapist 🥰

I just got out of an almost 5 year relationship and I’m only 21 years old.
