Probably over analyzing, but can I just say I love the fact it’s 35 minutes? Like most stories would have it be a flat 30, or 15, 45, 60, you know, like a complete quarter. I just like that it’s slightly off. It really adds to the feeling he had a set time for when he was going to drop the squid, and he didn’t really care when the heroes arrived, since he knew it would be too late. It just adds to that sense of them being pointless

Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic is what this is from btw. Its like an audiobook version of a comic book and its amazing. They managed to cut very very little while keeping it legible, they even kept the pirate stuff (my favorite parts)!

I was just talking about how, even though there are things that the movies didn't get accurate, I feel like they did immense Justice to the feel of the comics. it's like every time I see comic book characters they're silly to me, but the watchmen movie used to scare the shit out of me as a kid. (same for avengers imo)
