Creative writing is not valued? Yeah, but it's a society's fault to expect all that content, books, movies, games etc. while at the same time undervaluing the artistic work that goes into it. That's what pisses me off the most. They all contribute from our work while we as artists and writers are being told that our work has no value therefore we deserve no equal pay like other jobs. Even my professors at creative writing told us to not try to live solely off of writing and have a regular job because we won't be able to support ourselves and that's wild. Whole society every day benefits from our labor while scorning us and treating us as if we were not needed. Ok, next time they have nothing to read, watch, play etc. I hope they will blame themselves because it's their fault we are quitting doing it.
