There is a certain collective narrative that we have about Ballard. However, isn't it also correct that she actually signed a solo recording contract and released her own records. If Mary Wilson believed Florence was such a better singer and better person than Diana. Why is it that Mary Wilson did not join up with Florence at her new record label and go to the top of the charts? Groups break up, artists go solo. Isn't that the business. Patti Labelle, Jeffrey Osborne, Jody Whatley, Curtis Mayfield, Angela Winbush, David Ruffin, Toni Braxton, Steve Arrington. Diana Ross is not some villain. ☮️
