I'm on gabapentin been on it since 2020 and it doesn't help with anything but to help me sleep a little. I have fibro and dercums and when my dercums flares up, gabapentin doesn't even touch it. I told my primary that I want to stop taking it so we could come up with a plan to wean me off and try something else and her response was if I don't want them then she'll stop writing the script and I can just stop taking them. I'm switching my primary on Tuesday.

In the US functional med docs also check vitamin b deficiencies (especially b 12!) for neuropathy too!
