on a serious note tho, it always did upset me that one of the “reasonings” for yotsuba was that she was selfless and wanted to put her sisters first even when it came to fuutarou, because hello??? itsuki was doing the same thing and it was sadder for her because she only became actively aware of just what she was feeling for him after it was “too late” and so she decided to support her sisters instead. like you mentioned with itsuki having solved most of her larger struggles, all that remained was this uncertainty she had in love, and that would’ve have been such an amazing a natural progression for their relationship. she will always be my favorite, and i will die on the hill that no matter who won, she had the best relationship and dynamic with fuutarou throughout the series❤️⭐️

I agree with everything except the yotsuba slander. yes the show completely botched how yotsuba could've won, shes still the most reasonable option compared to the others. yotsuba was the only one futaro felt constantly comfortable with. miku came with way too high of expectations, Nino gave him no breathing room. itsuki had the greatest chemistry with futaro imo and they bantered like good friends but that also meant he was constantly restless around her (imagine constantly fighting over little things with your partner) his confession to yotsuba definitely could not be any other quint. yotsuba was the only one who did not try pushing him away from the start.

Peak. But icl I gotta disagree. Yotsuba was chosen more out of the fact there’s no baggage or pressure behind their relationship. Miku’s relationship requires some type of expectation, and creates a pressure from a requirement to respond to those feelings. Nino’s is based off her own feelings being forced upon Fuutaro, chaotic and unpredictable. She pursued him, in which for someone like Fuutaro to be pursued when he’s already running doesn’t work. Ichika never would’ve functioned honestly based off how it was taken. As for Itsuki, there would still be some type of response or requirement there, Fuutaro doesn’t engage well with presented devotion in anyway, he usually gets awkward or feels pressured. When it comes to his relationship with Yotsuba, for someone like Fuutaro who doesn’t need any additional baggage and responsibility. Yotsuba unconditionally lends her support to him, even from the start she’s the first one to accept his tutoring and make his job easier, she’s always been there and she always stepped aside without asking or word, because she’s able to see and understand Fuutaro to the degree she’s able to not add any extra weight on him. Him choosing Yotsuba is realistically just him choosing himself by proxy of allowing himself to not have any more expectation or weight. Yotsuba never needed a response, or anything. Which is why she was perfect for bro

what i like about this show so much is that there is no "bad character" each of them have reason for them to win and thats awesome. having this many characters isnt easy since you have to make them stand out and make them special one way or another.. it may not be my favourite romance anime but surely MY FAVOURITE HAREM ROMANCE ANIME

peak explaining man actually good job and another reason why fuutaro could choose itsuki is fuutaro doesn't need someone who just loves him he needs someone that supports him itsuki and yotsuba was the supportive type person and to be honest itsuki prob be better but if there was no yotsuba we couldn't see the show

Him and Yotsuba didnt have sexual tension in the start because Yotsuba avoided Fuutarou, thinkinh she was not worthy yet because she still hasn't fulfilled the promise they had in kyoto. All 5 sisters deserved Fuutarou but through the 5 yotsuba is the only one who fully supported him in teaching all throughout the end. In the beginning Fuutarou's main purpose was to form a connection with the quints so he can tutor them properly. He didnt really thought about having a romantic relationship with them before he knew that one of the quints is the girl in kyoto. I think Fuutarou made the right decision because his main goal is to meet the girl that made him strive to improve.(You can see their connection with each other and how Fuutarou developed his feelings to Yotsuba in the anime) All 5 of them are amazing choices although Yotsuba was Fuutarou's purpose.
