I think it’s cuz in the USA everything is a business. Social interactions are forced here. I’m sorry but after a full day of being around ppl because of work no I will not say hello to anyone I see out in public because I am EXHAUSTED. After asking some friends and family they agree. We crave community but it’s being sucked out of us.

I am from Puerto Rico and I understand completely in our culture we say good morning we say good afternoon we say bon appétit when we walk in and someone’s having dinner or breakfast we smile we help the next person.
