As an Asian in an Asian country, I can tell you we have woks of all levels of technological advancement. Stainless steel woks, teflon woks, induction woks. Woks with flat bases, woks with round bases, woks with stick handles, woks with loop handles. Tall woks, flat woks, deep woks, shallow woks. Woks with steep walls, woks with gentle sides. Small woks, big woks. If it looks like you can cook on it, it’s a wok.
