When i found out about my adoption i was devastated too, but what helped me was my mom telling me “i didn’t conceive you in my womb, but in my heart, you’re my daughter and i love you no matter what” that’s what helps me when i feel like an outsider even tho my family tells me that I am part of them

My mom looked into it and that's why she ALWAYS told me I was adopted from the jump. Because every study done (this was back in the 90s, there weren't a lot) said its so much easier on the kid
