Mechanical engineering is a great job if you’re creative and love design. If you can stomach the math walls and get to the actual mechanical engineering work, that stuff is so fun. Depends what you go into but I do often feel like a professional artist in my cad program designing pieces and all that except I’m also paid really well for my art. It’s good stuff for sure, you just need to be able to make it through the filters to that point.

do you think i can still go into robotics/automation through a mechanical engineering degree? i want my co ops and jobs to be in that niche but still do a mechanical degree instead of mechatronics for job security. I cant tell if its the right play and if getting into that niche is going to be hard with a mechanical degree
