Just when through this at O’Reilly. Dude put a tester on both of them.. “this one is good, this one is bad” walked away, in less than two minutes he was back out with the same model battery. “Here ya go” it was under warranty at I walked out with a new battery

I work at a heavy equipment rental business. If we took the word of every customer that walked through our doors we’d be out of business. There are reasons why they have policies in place like this.

while I get Autozone's point, a battery can charge overnight and test good that whole day, but the next morning it's dead. I really like rural king's new policy where they just prorate for battery age and don't even test them, it's the happy middle ground.

yeah I'm on the fence here, I have never heard anything like this. every place pretty much puts the tester in it and it tells you of it's good or bad and they replace it instantly.

advance auto took my battery did their little computer test in 30 minutes and gave me a new battery, no cost 🙄

I had a battery with 3 yr warranty go bad after 1.5 years. they tested it on the spot and gave me a new battery with a new 3 yr warranty. no questions asked

employee is incorrect, have a battery tester takes 2 minutes to check if it's bad or not. regardless employee can swap it on warranty anyways and call it a day and have a happy customer which the store wants anyways
