No thank god you posted this because I’m in the EXACT same boat. My son is a few days older than Scarlett. He doesn’t eat anything I make. He lives off toast and yoghurt usually. But eats like a foodie at childcare 😑

I feel like you’re either blessed with a good eater or a good sleeper, very rarely both!

My son was born a week or so after Scar and he is not a foodie at all! He’s always stressed me out from when we’ve started solids and he has never eaten what I see online with other children his age 😅 I feel like my son eats the same foods every day and it’s hard to introduce new ones too.

Mines a bottomless pit, I didn’t do anything in particular for him to be such a good eater, he just eats what we eat now at 16mo, I honestly just think all babies are different.

My 3 year old has never cared about food, he eats barely anything. My 14 month old eats EVERYTHING and in such large quantities. Every Bebe is so different 🩷

We are 3 and not a foodie 😭 she really only snacks or eats bread. It’s soooo hard getting good foods into her.

My son is almost 18 months and he went through a phase of eating anything and everything and then the next decides to not eat anything at all. Or he will love something one day and the next day refuse to touch it 🥲🥲 I’ve learnt to just roll with the punches and they will eat if they are starving

My daughter (11m) is a fooooooodie lol. On an average day she’ll have a bottle, then fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, and then some of my toast. Rice rusks for snacks. After nap 1, another bottle and then lunch - anything from sausage and steamed veg, homemade pizza, homemade sausage rolls, savoury mince, corn fritters. Sultana or yoghurt for snacks. After nap 2 another bottle, then dinner, normally a little of whatever we have. Otherwise bolognese sauce, or sausage and veg. Then another bottle for bed.

Yep, my 15 month old boy just isn’t interested in food. Strange because both me and his dad LOVE food 😂 but yeah some days he eats literally nothing, others he eats a whole meal breakfast and dinner (just fruit or yogurt for lunch normally)

I see you’re doing amazing and she’s actually taking the nutritions she needs. But regarding the lunch, just reduce the snacks. It sounded like you’re giving her two breakies and then a snack and then milk all before 12. So that alone fills her up and won’t let her have lunch. My daughter is 18 months I normally do breakfast, then fruit plate if at home or like a homemade muffin or a banana if out and then lunch around like 11:30-12 then milk before nap. If i give her too much snacks when im out she would have 1-2 spoons of lunch cos she would be full

One thing that put things in perspective for me was actually looking at the calorie needs of a child child at the appropriate age that yours is and seeing what that looks like in food because when I did I was actually quite surprised at what they really require to have a healthy balanced nutrition intake

Olusegun Obasanjo, aged 94, wrote a touching letter to Nigerians. Does this mean he is preparing to leave this world? Here is what he wrote: My fellow citizens, People say life is long. They say, “Take your time, there is plenty of it.” But I am 94 years old now, and I can tell you with certainty that this is not true. Life is not long; it passes in the blink of an eye. As I draw closer to leaving this world, my heart wants to leave you with a few lessons. I accumulated wealth, gained influence, and earned recognition, but today all of these seem like dust gathering in the corner of my room. If I stretch out my hand now, not one of them can go with me. Lesson One: Do Not Live Waiting A large part of my life was spent waiting. In school, I thought life would begin after graduation. When I joined the military, I waited for the weekends. When I got married, I waited for my children to grow up. When they grew up, I began waiting for retirement. I treated each day as just another step, thinking real life was somewhere ahead. But now I understand that there is no final destination; the journey itself is life. Lesson Two: Gold Is Not Food I spent 50 years accumulating wealth. I worked so hard that I missed precious moments with my family. I bought large houses, expensive cars, and luxurious possessions, but now that I am nearing the end of my journey, I realize that none of these things can accompany me. I still remember the day my daughter called me into the garden to see a tiny insect she had discovered. I told her, “Not now, I’m working.” To this day, I still feel the pain of that missed moment. Lesson Three: Tear Down the Wall in Your Heart When I was younger, I believed that showing compassion or apologizing was a sign of weakness. I had a brother I grew up with. One day we disagreed over something small. I cannot even remember what caused the disagreement now. I waited for him to make the first move toward reconciliation. Years passed. Then one day I received a call informing me that he had died. That was when I realized that I had been right, but I had lost my brother. If you love someone, tell them today. If you have made a mistake, apologize today. Tomorrow is never guaranteed. Lesson Four: Fear Is Only a Shadow I was 22 years old when I dreamed of becoming a writer. I had notebooks filled with dreams and stories. But I never wrote that book because I was afraid of being mocked or failing. Now my hands tremble and my eyesight has weakened. That book is still inside me. The greatest tragedy in life is not death; it is the dreams we bury while we are still alive. Do not keep postponing what your heart longs to do. Start today. Even if you fail, at least you will be able to say, “I tried.” Conclusion The ticking of my clock grows louder in my ears now. I have let go of worry, pride, and fear. You are still alive. You still have another day. Do not waste it. Look at your hands. Move your fingers. Feel your breath. All of this is a blessing. Do not wait until you are 94 years old to realize how beautiful life is. Live now. Until we meet again. Summary Life is short. Live fully, cherish your loved ones, forgive quickly, pursue your dreams, and make every day count. ❤️🙏🏾 #nigeria #FormerPresidents #Obasanjo
