God the video is terrifying. The helicopters didn’t even explode mid air so they felt the sensation of falling from the sky with only moments to take in what’s to come.. so scary 😢😢

This isn't a crazy occurrence, just fyi to some people in these comments. There are lots of examples of helicopters colliding midair. Lack of TCAS (automated avoidance system), limited field of view, poor communication between aircrafts flying near each other... It's pretty easy for those factors to line up, unfortunately. Off the top of my head, there's one notable example happening during a car chase in California where news copters struck and another time in Argentina while setting up an intro shot for some French reality show (those are ones I've seen recently on YouTube videos but there are a ton).
