This movie, based on true story Johnny Depp played of FBI agent Joseph D. Pistone aka Donnie Brasco There was a bounty for $500,000 against Joseph's life, but the bounty was dropped by the Head of Commission Paul Castellano aka "Big Paulie" he thought that killing a federal agent would attract too much attention. On August 17th, 1981 Dominick Napolitano aka Sonny Black was murdered by the Bonnano crime family associates, they shot him and his hands were cut off for allowing a federal agent to infiltrate the family. Benjamin Ruggiero aka "Lefty was arrested by the FBI on August 29th, 1981 and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Ruggiero last message before his death in 1993 was: "I'm gonna get that motherf**ker Donnie if it's the last thing I do." Pistone's lives in an undisclosed location with his wife Maggie (passed away in 2025) and their 3 daughters under assumed names. In 2012, Pistone testified in Montreal, Quebec, Canada an expert witness. he has a podcast on YouTube called "Deep Cover: "The Real Donnie Brasco"
