I feel like Jesus is similar to Santa. Santa originally came from Saint Nicholas who was a real person but the story has changed over the years. I feel like it is the same with Jesus especially since we cannot get an accurate translation of the original Bible. the person mightve not been named Jesus but I feel there could have been a person who helped people in someway that had that longer lasting effect

a lot of scholars believe that there was a man named Jesus that existed in those times. I think there was another text other than the bible that mentioned him. I don't think there is any mention of the magical things he was supposed to have done. just that he was killed by the ruler.

he's many people. he's an archetypal character. he is real in the way our models for understanding reality are real, in that they only exist in our minds and the art and actions we take in tangible forms. I'm an atheist, and firmly believe fictional stories can reflect truths, but that doesn't mean the stories reflect literal history.

The Bible is FICTIONAL. Believing it as an adult is sad. I stopped believing 7 and a half years ago at age 52, after 24 years. I felt like a fool for believing so long.

if you Look into the whole historicity of Jesus thing you'll find there is a difference between the historical Jesus and the Jesus of faith with Biblical historians trying to find the Jesus of history and the more you look into it the more you'll find out they can't even agree on anything about him and that really indicates to me that there is nothing to find
