@sspp.youthconnect: In the Catholic Church, incense is not just for smell; it symbolises prayer reaching God. This comes from Scripture, especially Psalm 141:2 and the vision in Revelation where saints’ prayers are offered like incense. During a solemn Mass, the priest or deacon may incense the altar, Gospel book, priest, congregation, and Eucharist. This shows that these are set apart for God’s worship. The congregation is incensed because every baptised Christian shares in Christ’s priesthood and deserves reverence. So, when you see incense rising during Mass, it’s a visible prayer and a sign of the sacredness of the event. #incense #catholictiktok #holymass #tiktokghana🇬🇭 #catholic
