Rough take here but I genuinely think TWD lost the plot after Alexandria with Rick.. Not only did they kill off too many main characters, they dragged on the Negan storyline so long and completely ruined the whole potential of Rick becoming leader of the biggest outpost and facing Negan on better terms, effectively making a fair fight and showing that Rick was the better leader. Killing off multiple main characters just to ruin the years of progress to actually have a stable compound just for Rick’s character development made it seem like they stopped focusing on the entire endgame and doubled down on the Rick story as a series instead. Just my take though

I really hope that somehow, we see Rick and Negan reunite in some way. It would bring so much closure seeing him get to learn all the things Negan ended up doing for his people, and the way that Carl was absolutely right
