I don't know what I did and I'm serious. they suddenly left my group, and started talking about me behind my back. maybe it's because I'm too honest or maybe because I have strong opinions and I don't know what to feel now.

Sometimes, even if you have a high consideration for the person, the relationship itself can be very mentally draining and if they don’t respect your boundaries you don’t need to confront them if you already feel that you lost them. Protecting your energy is about stopping making everybody feel comfortable. And you can’t save people who don’t wanna be saved.
