Honestly the biggest problem with the show is the fact it's far too short to achieve what Gooseworx wanted to achieve. Instead of ep9 being the climax it ended up being a rapid pace wrap up to the show. So many arcs needed more development, more screentime. Especially Jax. Shoving all his character development into his final 20 mins of screentime took away from ep9.

People say it's bad for making Jax a self-insert when 1-Self-inserts are the most common way to write a character 2-It doesn't mean that Goose is like that, it means that I take one of her characteristics and exaggerate it 3-The entire cast is a self-insert

a good writer would never let so much of their personal desires and fantasies seep into their works. I constantly think about the forced feminization jax goes through and all the merch being centred around it. honestly freaks me out and makes me not want to associate with the show.

Yeah, that’s nice and all but none of those characters confronted that rabbit about has any of his actions throughout the series or throughout the movie they were all punks that rabbit deserved to get his ass beat at the end of the movie. I don’t care about his trauma.

you know I'm not going to lie I never really had a problem with people hating on jax I mean he's a díck (or at least mask as one) obviously he's not going to be everybody's favorite person but I never understood why people acted like he was badly written. I mean almost everything about him can be figured out pretty easily in my opinion the reason he feels he needs to play the bad guy, his reaction from pomni hug, him being stuck in the denial stage of grief, I mean I felt like it's pretty easy to see why he is the way he is and I'm not saying you have to like him or even justify him hëll I don't and he's probably my favorite character I just don't understand why people act like he's unrealistic. I need to get real basic she's scared and uses a persona and denial as a defense mechanism that's a pretty common thing in real life not just something made up for movies or TV shows

She is a good writer. Imo tadc's writing is very good, the problem was the considerably reduced runtime, which ruined a lot of potential. Tadc has its flaws, like every show, but we have to bear in mind she wrote the entire script by herself while also managing voice acting direction and music composition. Tadc is also her very first show, I'm sure that if she continues making series she'll improve.

I don't think the problem is just with Jax. A lot of things in the series are done strangely and feel wrong, especially the ending. Many conflicts weren't properly resolved, and the big lore was left behind and forgotten. I wouldn't call her a bad writer, but rather an author who, instead of developing a solid foundation for the series, creates a lot of little details. Yes, little details are cool, but without a good plot, they don't work.

I honestly disagree with what you said about jax, we are showed everything about him, the way he is was clearly a coping mechanism and its always been shown as that, was he a dickhead? yes, but that doesn't mean he ruined the show, and yes, he ruined the relationship but that doesn't mean it was bad, it was good because it showed insecurity, jax is a highly complex character and is so clearly written to represent the struggles of mental health
