Not only leg loss, but it's very likely Louis had an early stage of schizophrenia when he was turned and it's usually triggered when he's stressed, overwhelmed or generally going through a bad time! I’m terrified for Daniel this season. Daniel broke multiple vampiric laws by having that book published and now he’s filming that documentary with Lestat. Whether or not people believe that book is real, what if that’s enough for vampires to be angry and come after him?. Not to mention, Daniel is a walking broken law.

I haven't watched or read this, but my dad has early onset Parkinson's, at a stage where he can't walk and has a hard time being understood talking and I can't imagine being like that for eternity

So Louis and Armand are most definitely going to recover from their injuries since Vampires have already shown they can regenerate (Louis literally melted in the sun twice and survived with no scars, his Achilles tendon healed, etc.)
