The wife in this movie came off as fairly naive and unsympathetic. She couldn’t come close to grasping the gravity of the danger and paranoia Kyle was dealing with while over there.

PTSD is as real as you allow it to be, I saw a lot of shit between my military and law enforcement days, I never thought much of it still don’t, I have dreams that I don’t enjoy occasionally and certain noises will spike me but, not to where I’m crying I guess, everyone’s different, this just dip it’s how bad it can affect someone

I wish people would just ask for help when the know full well they need it. It’s not honorable to let your sanity die when you have every opportunity to help yourself and seek help. He had money, he had family and resources, sure he was a damn good soldier but it’s soured by the fact he COULD have at least tried to manage his issues. It’s a damn shame.

The issue is with progress soldiers go from being in combat to home in 48 hours. It used to take weeks on a ship. Good it’s faster but a serious down side.
