@hassansalarjadoon: A stone inscription bearing the name of Hazrat Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA) has been discovered near Madinah, believed to be around 1,400 years old. According to shared readings, the Hijazi-script carving invokes Allah's protection for Umar ibn al-Khattab in this world and the Hereafter, alongside the declaration that there is no god but Allah. Saudi Arabia's Heritage Commission announced the find among 1,774 discoveries in Al-Mahd governorate, including 461 Islamic inscriptions, 1,259 rock art panels and 34 pre-Islamic Thamudic carvings. The survey also documented 156 new archaeological sites, three historical palaces, four ancient wells and two caravan routes once walked by traders and pilgrims. Experts say the script style matches early Quranic manuscripts, pointing to the Rashidun era and Al-Mahd's importance on Hajj and trade paths. The discoveries are part of Saudi Vision 2030's mission to preserve early Islamic heritage.
