A few days ago I created a baby shower invitation on Canva. The type of thing I would have happily paid a few pounds for when I was planning one for myself. And it got me thinking... If I was pregnant right now and planning for maternity leave, this is exactly the type of thing I'd be learning. Not because I'd expect it to replace my income overnight. Not because I'd be aiming to build some huge business. But because even an extra few hundred pounds a month can create options. Options to stay off a little longer. Options to take some pressure off. Options to create more family memories. It's exactly why I started learning about digital products and Canva during my last maternity leave. I learnt how people are finding them through platforms like Pinterest every day! I was a complete beginner. No experience. No clue what I was doing 😂 But that one decision ended up allowing me to extend my maternity leave, reduce my working hours and create extra income from home. Sometimes it's not about changing your whole life instantly.
