@zoe.nationn: Slow Cooker Mongolian Beef 🥩 Ingredients: * 1.5–2 kg beef chuck steak, cut into large chunks * 1 brown onion, sliced * 6 cloves garlic, minced * 2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated * 1 cup low-salt soy sauce * 1 cup beef stock * 1/2 cup of honey * 2 tbsp hoisin sauce * 1 tbsp sesame oil * 1 tsp black pepper To Thicken: * 3 tbsp cornflour * 3 tbsp cold water To Serve: * Rice * Sesame seeds (optional) * Steamed broccoli, bok choy, or Asian greens Method: 1. Place the onion in the bottom of the slow cooker. 2. Add the beef chuck. 3. In a bowl, whisk together the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, beef stock, honey , hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and pepper. 4. Pour over the beef. 5. Cook: * Low: 8–9 hours * High: 4–5 hours 6. Remove the beef and shred it with two forks. 7. Mix the cornflour and water to make a slurry. Stir it into the sauce. 8. Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and cook for another 20–30 minutes on High until the sauce thickens. 9.
