@c5news: This is the moment a model plummeted to her death after bungee jump workers forgot to attach her safety cord on Saturday. Video footage circulating on social media shows 21-year-old Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas being lifted into the air by three men, her arms outstretched, before being tossed off the edge of a 130ft cliff at the Skeleton Bridge Trail in Limeira, Sao Paulo, Brazil. The model fell to her death in front of onlookers, said to have included her fiancé. The bungee workers seemed unaware that the safety cord had not been attached when they let Ms Rodrigues de Freitas go. After she disappears from view, a person videoing the jump pans down to show the cord still on the platform. Ms Rodrigues de Freitas made a series of social media posts before her fall. In one she wrote: “Who was the crazy person who let me jump off a bridge?” Six people were initially brought to the Limeira Police District for questioning. Three of them — men aged 27, 32 and 42 — were subsequently arrested in connection with the incident, the Sao Paulo’s governor’s office said. The men were arrested “in flagrante,” or caught in the act, on charges of homicide with eventual intent. Under Brazilian law, this charge applies to cases in which perpetrators did not intend to kill but engaged in a dangerous act that carried a fatal risk. #5news #bungeejump
