she is right. what will she have to do. the streets are becoming more dangerous after every dinghie. no youth clubs and parks are a state. gyms are expensive and swimming baths are a rarity.

I'm a Grandparent of a teenager and absolutely do not agree with this ban. it's up to the tech giants to put more scrutiny online to stop inappropriate content and it's up to parents to police what content their child is viewing

Then there needs to be more youth clubs and activities for the kids like there was when I was young the reasons social media took over children’s lives so much is down to the lack of services provided to them

To be honest that "stare at a wall" comment probably perfectly sums up why action was needed if kids are becoming so reliant on their phones that they think they can't fill their time in other ways. I don't agree that a blanket ban is the right way forward though.

Great idea, kids will need to learn to do without like we did. Give them more time to get outside and experience the world whilst protecting them from the dark side of social media and misinformation.
