@davidpkcoleman: A CEO who works 4 hours a week told me his hiring secret but the real lesson for me was this: Your staff live in 2 different cultures — 8 hrs at work, 16 hrs somewhere else. You can't fix in 8 hours what 30 years built. So give them a reason WHY. Not for the company but for them. Assuming your growth is their priority = arrogance #businesstok #fyp #africanbusiness #leadership #ghanatiktok🇬🇭
you never described or gave details of a good home?

Thank you, great piece. You see, the whole point it’s just that some companies don’t give rooms for employees to grow, they leave their staff at the mercy of their own pursuit for personal development; most especially small companies that are not in the light yet. I have these questions to ask: 1. Do employers have a responsibility to understand the personal lives and struggles of their employees, or should performance at work be all that matters? 2. Is it realistic to expect employees to be as passionate about a company as its owner is? Why or why not? 3. Should leaders spend more time understanding their employees’ “why” than enforcing company policies?

A very influential man once told me:
“Marry from a good home. Befriend people from good homes. Do business with people from good homes. Build with people from good homes.
In life, be selective about who you allow into your circle. The character, values, and background of the people around you can determine how far you go and how much peace you enjoy.”
Choose wisely.

How does he measure the quality of a good home when he hires? If I have an interview which reminds me I’m not exactly a fit because of my parents inability to be on a much higher standard, I’d really be forced to level up than feel sad or rejected, although it is truly elitist but I understand it.
