JK started. "They'll think this is a double date," Lisa finished. Before either of them could think of a solution, two voices called out at the same time. "Honey, where are you?" Jennie called. "Love, why are you taking so long?" V asked. Lisa looked horrified. JK looked like his soul had left his body. A second later, they felt their partners standing behind them. Jennie's gaze landed on JK. "Didn't know he was invited to our date." Her voice was calm. Too calm. V crossed his arms. "You really like hanging around with her, don't you?" "Love, it's not what you think," JK immediately said. "I didn't know she was here." Lisa turned to Jennie so fast she almost gave herself whiplash. "Baby, please believe me. I didn't know Jungkook was here either. I didn't know he planned his date in Japan too." Jennie raised an eyebrow. Lisa immediately continued. "Baby, please. I'm sorry." As soon as he turned around, Taehyung crossed his arms. "Why was she there, Jungkook? You promised me this trip would be about us. Just us." Jungkook immediately stepped closer. "Love, please listen to me. I swear I didn't know Lisa was in Japan." Taehyung stayed silent. "I'm serious. I was getting food when I saw her. I was shocked too." Still nothing. "We haven't talked since that double date. No calls, no texts, nothing. I planned this trip for you and me. If I had known she was here, I would've told you immediately." Taehyung sighed and rubbed his face. Jungkook gently took his hand. "It was a misunderstanding, love. I promise." After a moment, Taehyung finally squeezed his hand back. Meanwhile, on the other side of Japan, Jennie entered their hotel room without a word. Lisa followed behind her and quietly locked the door. Jennie went straight to bed, turned away from Lisa, and pulled the blanket over herself. That scared Lisa more than anything. Slowly, she climbed into bed and wrapped her arms around Jennie from behind, resting her chin on her shoulder. "Baby, please forgive me," she whispered softly. "I didn't know Jungkook was here. We haven't talked in days. I planned this trip because I remembered you telling me that you wanted to see Mount Fuji." Jennie remained silent. "I'm sorry, baby. I'm very, very sorry. I love you." For a few moments, the room stayed quiet. Then Jennie reached for Lisa's arm and held it a little tighter. Lisa smiled immediately. They were okay. Well, mostly okay. Jennie was still sulking. Lisa pressed small kisses against her cheek and neck, whispering soft "I love you"s between each one. Jennie never replied.
