One of the hardest things God will ever teach you is how to let go of something you desperately want to control. 🥹🤍 Because surrender sounds beautiful until God asks you to actually DO it. Until He asks you to trust Him with a situation you can’t fix. Until He asks you to forgive someone who never apologized. Until He asks you to walk away from something you begged Him to make work. Until He asks you to be patient when you’ve already been waiting longer than you think you can handle. And if I’m being honest, surrendering is HARD when you’ve spent your whole life trying to protect yourself from getting hurt. We want answers. We want reassurance. We want to know how everything is going to turn out. We want God to show us the entire plan before we agree to trust Him. But that’s not how faith works. Sometimes faith looks like saying, “God, I don’t understand what You’re doing, but I’m choosing to trust You anyway.” It’s praying for the person who broke your heart instead of seeking revenge. It’s accepting that some doors are closed without knowing why. It’s trusting God with your children when you can’t be there to protect them. It’s releasing the future you imagined because you believe His wisdom is greater than your understanding. And sometimes, it’s crying your eyes out while whispering, “Lord, I give it to You,” even though everything inside you wants to hold on. Because surrender doesn’t mean it stops hurting. It means you stop trying to carry something you were never meant to carry alone. And here’s something I’m still learning… You can pray about something and STILL feel anxious. You can surrender something to God and STILL find yourself trying to take it back the next morning. You can trust Jesus and STILL have moments when fear gets the best of you. That doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means you’re human, and you’re learning to depend on Him. So maybe today, instead of asking God to give you control over the situation, ask Him to give you peace in the middle of it. Instead of demanding answers, ask Him for the strength to trust Him without them. Instead of holding on so tightly to what you think your life should look like, make room for what He wants to do in it. Because peace isn’t found in knowing how everything will work out. Peace is found in knowing WHO holds your future. Lord, teach me to surrender before I spiral. Teach me to pray before I panic. Teach me to trust You even when I don’t understand. And when I start reaching for the things I’ve already placed in Your hands, gently remind me… I don’t have to be in control when I belong to the One who is. ❤️ #SurrenderToGod #TrustHisPlan #LetGoAndLetGod #FaithOverFear #JesusTakeTheWheel ✨
