you know this is the true crime of our city-states counties and even Federal when the elderly are reduced to being homeless wake up America our country sold us out they rather give our mother a corner on a street than to give one helping hand they would rather take our money give it to foreign aid help those other countries but can't help our own country our own needy this is what we reduced to this is why I'm taking my flag down

63-yr-old van dweller, here, in Nashville living out of an uninsulated van, yet I've volunteered my whole adult life (schools, churches, community groups). I've had neighbors from Nigeria in my home, helped people from India and Egypt get drivers' licenses, went to court with people, and let them use my old car to practice to drive. The churches are absolutely useless at helping our own, I get nothing but excuses from them...but they never turned down my money or volunteering!! We can build tiny homes for pennies on the dollar with recycled materials and scrap pieces from construction sites. A 40ft shipping container only cost approx $5-6,000. Build it out with recycled materials. Btw, 50% of what is in our landfills is building materials!!! We MUST teach women to build!! We must allow people to put tiny homes on their own land!! The average "starter" home is $400,000. It DOUBLED in TWO years! Women give their whole lives to their children, their husbands, and their communities, and this is how we are treated?!! We need safe places for car/van dwellers to park, get counseling, and legitimate job training and MENTORSHIP!! Our government sends BILLIONS overseas and our churches give MILLIONS, but they IGNORE our own. Let's make a plan, put tiny homes on every lot at churches, synagogues, and mosques. SUICIDES BY WOMEN are up 25 % in the U.S., before Covid. Let's roll!!!
