Assuming they're both CNCed the caps costing more than the bolts actually makes sense, it's more machine run time to hollow out 2 cylinders than it is to barely remove material for a bolt

More expensive option is sram tyre pressure sensor, tyrewiz. Have them on my bike just as they came with it, is nice but also completely unnecessary (on zipp moto so sit flush)
