Hey I am on a gap year also and idk how to feel or what to do everything just seems not the right fit for me and I know it’s hard watching others move on with their life but honestly it’s all apart of the process, whatever happens will happen for the best maybe your in a gap year because this is what is the best thing for you. Just because one door is closed doesn’t mean they all are if you feel you need to take another one then take it at the end of the day you have to prioritise yourself!

Private Selection :
Well if you don’t know what to choose, choose something that will allow you to live the life you so desire (to a certain extent). E.g. law at UCL is a shout, competitive, but for a reason, highly rewarding. If you love patient care and helping others do medicine. There’s endless opportunity, go out your comfort zone and keep pushing. Your future self will thank you tm.

im in the exact same boat, i’m finishing my third gap year this year and hoping to go to kings in september! i also had an interview with ucl in feb, and i was also scared to go considering the fact that im much older, however when i got there i was one of the youngest with people from many ages interviewing, and thats when i realised it truly doesnt matter when you start! London is an amazing city, its scary at first but you’ll meet a lot of people and i think you’d have a great time :)

Fake being contextual and you’ll have the grades to get into a course like econ, stats, finance at UCL, Warwick econ is also AAB, assuming you want to go into finance

I go to UCL as someone who also comes from a small town up north and I understand what you’re worried about. It can be financially straining and it’s a massive shock to live in a massive city like London. However, UCL is genuinely so helpful and supporting in their day-to-day. In addition, I have met many people in my first year, allowing me to settle in quickly. My advice would be to just go for it and jump in the deep end.

I’m at UCL and came from a really small town up north and it’s the best decision i’ve ever made! I’m moving here after uni and everything, the opportunities, the people, the lifestyle and the food in London is unbeatable imo
