How about the fact that you dont own the home until the mortgage is paid. If u didnt pay ur mortgage for a period of time then the bank would take it. Therefore they actually own it until the loan is paid

LPT should never have been allowed and should be abolished! One receive an old age pension which one has paid for during their working life and the Government receives most of the pension back in some sort of tax it's absolutely scandalous how Irish Government rip off pensioners. Just look at the salaries they paid themselves!!! 🙏🙏🙏

You forgot to say if you have a deferral of the property tax it will have to paid sometime in the future plus interest. if the tax is deferred long enough the government could have a big claim on your property when you die.
