i am neurodivergent and as a child (even now) whenever i read Quran or hear it, i always searched for the meaning because I couldn’t conceptualise it without feeling like I understood what I was hearing/reciting. Alhamdulillah, my curiosity has always been strong

I never really thought about the Quran the way you described because I know it is the word of Allah, and I always try to understand the meaning of every surah I know. That is the purpose of the Quran: Allah is conveying a message to us. However, I do understand where you are coming from. I learned the Quran in madrasa and followed the usual path most of us take. But as long as someone tries to gain a deeper understanding of our deen, they will not have such a rigid mindset that only memorizes the Quran. They will seek to understand it and act upon it as well

I use ask myself , why learn quran without knowing the tafsir is was hard for me . I started learning tafsir this month pls pray for me become hafid while knowing the tafsir ❤️

I just listen to Sheikh Sudais & Shuraim’s recitation with Naeem Sultan’s translation on repeat and I can say it’s been extremely beneficial. I’m able to translate a few ayahs here and there but I can understand so much since I started.
