i am neurodivergent and as a child (even now) whenever i read Quran or hear it, i always searched for the meaning because I couldn’t conceptualise it without feeling like I understood what I was hearing/reciting. Alhamdulillah, my curiosity has always been strong

I used to feel bad that I read Quran in English as a revert instead of Arabic. This made me feel better. Of course during Salah I recite in Arabic. When I’m sitting down to simply read, I read the English translation. Jazakallah Khayr brother

Fitrah Path :
As a Bosnian Muslim, I was first taught the meanings of the surahs in Bosnian. When I began practicing Islam seriously as an adult, I made sure to learn the meanings of every Arabic surah I had memorized. It never made sense to me to recite words without understanding them. So, during salah, I recite in Arabic as required, while reflecting on the Bosnian meanings in my mind.
