They had been brought in as "strays," but the more we learned, the clearer it became that there was likely more to their story. Several of the puppies are suffering from cherry eye, a painful eye condition that should have been addressed long before it ever reached this point. The adult dogs are in rough shape, some testing positive for demodex, their skin and overall condition showing just how long they went without proper hygiene and care. While we don't know for certain, everything about this case points to a likely breeder release, dogs who were kept without the basic care they needed, and ultimately discarded once they were no longer useful. These dogs didn't choose this life. They didn't choose to be neglected, overlooked, or left to suffer in silence. But they are here now, and that changes everything. From this moment forward, their suffering ends. Every single one of these 10 dogs will receive the medical care, the comfort, and the compassion they were denied for far too long. They will heal. They will learn what safety feels like. And soon, they will find families who don't see them for what they could provide, but for exactly who they are. Better days are coming.
