@dr.rickpescatore: Another #florida #doctor indicted by the DOJ for #research #fraud. These clinical trial shenanigans harm us all and should be harshly judged. #breakingnews
My cousin used to be part of a research team as a very prestigious university. They did trials for drugs for cancer. He got fired for pointing out falsified data. Happens more than you think.

This is common. I’m a retired RN & worked in a major healthcare system. We were always doing multiple studies. The hospital got paid to do studies & data collection was assigned to the nurses. If the data didn’t support the desired outcome, managers would find an excuse to exclude the negative effects of whatever it was were were testing. Most all of the trials resulted in positive results for drug, device & supply manufacturers even though the data was inaccurate. Study results are often bought & sold.

They do this a lot. I did a paper in college about how they lied about their studies on neurotin now known as gabapentin with bipolar patients. These people should go to jail. Fuck fines.

I was on NBC Miami over my son’s pediatrician putting the decimal point in the wrong place and giving him 2.5mL of medicine instead of 0.25mL (mind you he weighed like 12lbs) and the pharmacy filled it twice and didn’t catch that it was for an infant and they were filling an adult dose. Then he started acting really weird and I posted in my Due Date group on facebook and another mom on there was married to a pharmacist and her son was on the same medication and she was like “check the dose ASAP that’s not right” and my son ended up in the E.R. for accidental overdose. Then poison control on the phone with the nurse and I at the hospital like “does he have slurred speech, dizziness, headache, agitation…” I’m like he’s an infant dude he can’t talk I don’t know? 😭 the Florida medical system is a mess man.
