@gentle.iyk: If I could speak to my younger self, I wouldn’t give him a list of strategies. I would give him perspective. I would tell him that success is slower than you expect, but more rewarding than you imagine. I would tell him that comparison is a distraction. That discipline is more valuable than motivation. That character matters more than reputation. And that the small decisions you make every day eventually become the life you live. The older I get, the more I realize that growth is not about becoming someone else. It’s about becoming the person you were capable of being all along. Life has a way of teaching these lessons.
